General Settings
General settings control the basic identity and behavior of your workspace. To access them, go to Settings in the left sidebar and select the General tab.| Setting | Description |

| Workspace name | The name displayed in the header and in any shared links. Choose something recognizable to your team. |
| Logo | Upload a PNG or SVG (recommended size: 256×256 px). Your logo appears in the sidebar and on shared document previews. |
| Timezone | Sets the default timezone used for activity timestamps and scheduled notifications across the workspace. |
| Default language | Sets the interface language for new members joining the workspace. Individual members can override this in their own account settings. |
Member Defaults
Member defaults determine the role that new members receive automatically when they join your workspace via an invite link — without you having to assign a role manually.Choose a default role
Select Viewer, Commenter, or Editor from the dropdown. We recommend Viewer for large teams where most members only need to read SOPs, and Editor for smaller, tightly-knit ops teams where everyone contributes to content.
Members invited directly by email can be assigned any role at the time of the invitation, regardless of the default setting here.
SSO & Login Options
Single Sign-On (SSO) lets your team log in to Seilers using your company’s identity provider, removing the need for separate Seilers passwords.SAML SSO is available on the Enterprise plan. If you’re on a lower plan and want to explore SSO, contact sales@seilers.io or upgrade from the Billing section.
- Go to Settings > Security.
- Under Single Sign-On, click Configure SAML.
- Enter your identity provider’s metadata URL or upload the metadata XML file.
- Map the required attributes (email, name) to the corresponding fields in Seilers.
- Test the connection using the Test SSO button before enforcing it for all members.
- Once confirmed, toggle Enforce SSO to require all workspace members to authenticate through your identity provider.
Billing & Plan
You can review and manage your subscription directly within Seilers.- Current plan — go to Settings > Billing to see which plan your workspace is on (Starter, Business, or Enterprise) and the renewal date.
- Upgrading — click Upgrade plan to compare tiers and select a new plan. Changes take effect immediately and you’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle.
- Invoices — all past invoices are listed under the Invoices tab in Billing. Click any invoice to download it as a PDF.
- Payment method — click Update payment method to change the card or billing details on file.
Danger Zone
The Danger Zone section in Settings > General contains irreversible workspace actions. Proceed carefully with anything in this section.- Rename workspace — changes the workspace name and updates all shared links that display the workspace name. This does not break existing links.
- Transfer ownership — transfers the workspace owner role to another Admin. You will retain your Admin role but will no longer be the owner. This action requires you to confirm your password.
- Delete workspace — permanently and irreversibly removes the workspace.
