# Get Started with Seilers: Create Your First Playbook

> Learn how to create your first playbook or SOP in Seilers. Set up your workspace, add content, and share it with your team in a few simple steps.

This guide walks you through everything you need to go from a brand-new Seilers account to a published playbook or SOP that your team can actually use. By the end, you'll have a workspace set up, a document created and filled with content, and a shareable link ready to send to your colleagues.

<Tip>
  If you're not sure where to start, head to the **Template Gallery** inside your workspace after signing up. Seilers provides ready-made playbooks and SOPs for common workflows — hiring, onboarding, sales, and more — that you can customize in minutes rather than building from scratch.
</Tip>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create your account">
    Go to [app.seilers.io](https://app.seilers.io) and click **Sign Up**. You can register with your work email address or use Single Sign-On (SSO) if your organization has it configured. Once you confirm your email, you'll land on the workspace creation screen.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set up your workspace">
    Give your workspace a name — typically your company name or team name works best. You can also upload a logo and set a default time zone for your team.

    <Info>
      After naming your workspace, you'll see an **Invite Members** prompt. Enter your teammates' email addresses to bring them in right away, or skip this step and invite people later from **Settings → Members**. Inviting early means your team can start collaborating as soon as your first playbook is ready.
    </Info>

    Once your workspace is configured, click **Create Workspace** to continue.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create your first playbook">
    From your workspace dashboard, click the **New Playbook** button in the top-right corner. You'll be prompted to either:

    * **Choose a template** — browse the Template Gallery and select a pre-built playbook that matches your use case (for example, "Hiring Playbook" or "Employee Onboarding").
    * **Start blank** — open an empty playbook and build your structure from the ground up.

    Give your playbook a clear, descriptive title so your team immediately knows what process it covers. Then click **Create** to open the editor.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add sections and content">
    The Seilers editor is a rich, block-based writing environment. Inside your playbook, you can:

    * **Add sections** using the `+` button on any line or by typing `/` to open the block menu.
    * **Write rich text** with headings, bold, italic, bullet lists, and numbered lists to structure your content clearly.
    * **Embed checklists** by selecting the Checklist block — ideal for tasks your team needs to complete in sequence.
    * **Insert links** to external resources, internal documents, or other Seilers playbooks and SOPs.
    * **Embed an SOP** directly inside a playbook section, so readers can drill into the step-by-step detail without leaving the page.

    Work through your process from beginning to end, adding as much or as little detail as your team needs. You can always come back and edit later — Seilers saves your changes automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Share with your team">
    When your playbook is ready, click the **Share** button in the top-right corner of the editor. You have three sharing options:

    * **Invite by email** — send a direct invitation to specific teammates with a chosen permission level (Viewer, Commenter, or Editor).
    * **Share a link** — generate a shareable link that anyone in your workspace can open.
    * **Make public** — allow anyone with the link to view the playbook, even if they don't have a Seilers account. Use this for external collaborators or candidates.

    Set the appropriate permission level before sharing so the right people can view, comment on, or edit your document.
