# Share Playbooks and SOPs: Links, Invites, and Access

> Share playbooks and SOPs by email invite or shareable link, assign View, Comment, or Edit access, and revoke access at any time from the sharing panel.

Sharing your playbooks and SOPs in Seilers makes it easy to get the right information to the right people at the right time. Whether you're onboarding a new team member, rolling out a company-wide process, or collaborating with an external partner, Seilers gives you flexible sharing options so you stay in control of who can see and interact with your content.

## Sharing a Playbook or SOP

You can share any playbook or SOP directly from the document itself in just a few steps.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the playbook or SOP">
    Navigate to the document you want to share from your workspace dashboard or sidebar.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click the Share button">
    Select the **Share** button in the top-right corner of the document. This opens the sharing panel.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your sharing method">
    Decide how you want to share the document:

    * **Invite by email** — enter one or more email addresses to invite specific people directly.
    * **Generate a link** — create a shareable link you can copy and send through any channel.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the access level">
    Choose what invited people can do with the document:

    * **View** — read-only access; they cannot make changes or leave comments.
    * **Comment** — they can read and leave inline comments, but cannot edit the content.
    * **Edit** — full editing access to the document's content and structure.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invite or copy the link">
    * If you invited by email, click **Send Invite**. Recipients will receive an email with a direct link to the document.
    * If you generated a link, click **Copy Link** and share it through your preferred channel.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Share Links

Share links let you distribute a document without sending individual email invitations. Seilers offers three link types to match different sharing scenarios.

<CardGroup cols={1}>
  <Card title="Anyone with the link (View-only)" icon="globe" href="/collaboration/sharing#share-links">
    Anyone who receives the link can open the document without signing in. Use this for external partners, clients, or public-facing SOPs. Recipients can only view the content — they cannot comment or edit.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Workspace members only" icon="building" href="/collaboration/sharing#share-links">
    Only people who are already members of your Seilers workspace can open the link. This is the safest default for internal documents where you want broad access without managing individual invitations.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Specific people" icon="user-check" href="/collaboration/sharing#share-links">
    The link only works for the specific email addresses you've added to the share panel. Anyone else who tries to open it will be prompted to request access.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

<Info>
  Share links can be protected with a password on **Business** and **Enterprise** plans. To add a password, open the sharing panel, click **Link settings**, and enable **Password protection**.
</Info>

<Tip>
  For SOPs that apply to your entire organization — like onboarding checklists or company policies — use workspace-level sharing so all current and future members automatically have access without you needing to re-share manually.
</Tip>

## Revoking Access

You can remove a person's access or disable a share link at any time from the sharing panel.

**To remove a specific person's access:**

1. Open the document and click **Share**.
2. Find the person's name or email in the list of people with access.
3. Click the dropdown next to their role and select **Remove access**.
4. Their access is revoked immediately — they will no longer be able to open the document.

**To disable a share link:**

1. Open the document and click **Share**.
2. Under the **Link** section, click **Disable link**.
3. The link stops working instantly. Anyone who tries to use the old link will see an access-denied message.

<Note>
  Disabling a share link does not remove access for people you invited directly by email. You need to remove them individually using the steps above.
